[edit] History

Coastal Carolina Sound Studios was founded in 1993 by Scott Houle. The company started doing ADR for feature films.[1] The company then later began dubbing anime in 1995 after Scott was introduced to Robert Woodhead of Animeigo. Coastal went on to dub Lupin the 3rd: The Fuma Conspiracy for their first anime project for Animeigo. Coastal continued to dub anime for Animeigo and later other anime companies such as Bandai Entertainment. Coastal also continued doing ADR in feature films and television programs. However around 2001, the motion picture and television jobs stopped coming in. Coastal went on to dub the You're Under Arrest tv episodes, specials and movie in 2002 to 2003. Afterwards, Coastal was forced to close its doors in 2003. However, Coastal was never legally shut down. In 2004, Coastal opened Phoenix Post Sound, a division of Coastal Carolina Studios, in Asheville, North Carolina.[2] Phoenix went on to dub Miami Guns for AN Entertainment. Due to a lack of business after Miami Guns, Phoenix was forced to close its doors. Coastal Carolina Studios re-opened in 2007 under the name Coastal Studios. Coastal Studios went on the dub Shogun Assassin 3: Slashing Blades of Carnage, Shogun Assassin 4: Five Fistfuls Of Gold, and Shogun Assassin 5. Coastal Studios current projects in 2008 include the 26 episode anime Clamp School for Bandai Entertainment, The Gate Post Gang, and the film I Do?.[3][4]
