M/V Coastal Renaissance is the first of three Coastal Class ships delivered to BC Ferries. Amenities include a Coast Cafe, Coast Cafe Express, Passages gift shop, Sitka Coffee Place, SeaWest Lounge, Kid Zone play areas, arcade, business work stations. This ship operates on the Departure Bay-Horseshoe Bay route.
The ship was launched on April 19, 2007, and has completed major construction. The ship left FSG for her delivery voyage to British Columbia on October 27, 2007. She transited the Panama Canal on November 21.
The ship arrived in Nanaimo on December 13, 2007, after passing by Victoria and looping around Vancouver Harbour. She is now in service for BC Ferries.
