[edit] The Swifts
A tag has been placed on The Swifts, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Geoffrey Spear 17:32, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Charles Swift (actor)
You seem to be trying to create an article about an actor called Charles Swift however you are going about it by blanking the existing article about a lawyer named Charles Swift. As you have no doubt realised from the warnings you have received this is not the correct way to achieve your aims. If you wish to create a reliably sourced article about a notable actor named Charles Swift then the place to do it is at Charles Swift (actor) - just clicking on the link will take you half way there already. Do please however make sure that your Charles Swift meets Wikipedia's inclusion requirements, particularly on notability otherwise it will likely be deleted quite quickly. good luck!, kind regards, nancy (talk) 14:44, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
