Clyne Valley Country Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Clyne Valley Country Park is an area of parkland in Swansea, Wales. As its name suggests, it lies in a valley. The valley consists of a wet valley floor and dense woodland on the hillsides.
There is a cycle track crossing the centre of the valley, which links Blackpill with Gowerton. The cycle track and forms part of National Cycle Route 4 and passes close to the settlements of Killay and Dunvant. The route of the cycle track was once used by the Heart of Wales Line. Evidence of past industrial use is still evident along the cycle track. The wooded hillsides of the Clyne Valley have numerous dirt trails used for mountain biking and walks.
The Blackpill stream flows adjacent to the cycle track for most of its course. The Blackpill stream empties into Swansea Bay at Blackpill.
