- They are explained in Clinical trial, but I don't know how to succinctly extract that information into this article. RJFJR 00:59, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm adding a link to a type of CRO, a non-profit foundation called CRAB. The distinction with clinical trial management should be maintained because general management ranges from commercial interest to broad academic activity. The CRO plays a unique role, and this page can be expected to grow in a variety of useful ways. First, there are vendors of CT management, but there are also unique in organization depending on the type of disease and its potential cure (i.e., therapeutics and prevention.) The Phase I II and III are an extension of that distinction. Second, there are consortiums of CRO's with unique management styles ranging from the commercial clearing houses to the high-end research organizations like RAND, and a bunch of informal collaborations in-between. Third, the interplay between government, regulation, commerce and health will be uniquely described and explained by a CRO page separate from how general management of clinical trials proceeds.
