[edit] Reason

There is a reason that some persons played in the Major Leagues only during the Second World War. The really good players were drafted or enlisted, and fought in the war, while the 4-F players stayed home to play baseball. When the good players returned after the war, the 4-F players were not needed. This aspect of playing careers should be explored, if the article is ever expanded into a full-length biography. 130.13.1.200 (talk) 03:08, 23 January 2008 (UTC)John Paul Parks130.13.1.200 (talk) 03:08, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
