Where did you get the information for this image? It seems to oversimplify the climate regions in some respects, but is oddly specific in others. Large portions of the map are covered by the same climate even though my intuition would say that they're vastly varied, which I can overlook if it's supposed to be generalized. On the other hand, there's a small portion of Utah that's specifically set apart from it surrounding region and the dividing lines between regions seem very particular.
Basically, if the goal is to generalize large regions to keep the image from getting complicated, I think you should reduce the sharpness on the borders to avoid the perception of false precision. If the goal is to be precise with it, I have to question the source and accuracy of the information, because some of it doesn't make sense to me. – Þ 04:19, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
