Climber magazine

Climber Magazine is a British magazine dedicated to all aspects of climbing; trad, bouldering, alpine climbing - many different types of the sport are featured in in-depth articles and features about climbing adventures.

The magazine Editor is Kate Burke, while Bernard Newman is Contributing Editor. They are both avid climbers who are passionate about creating a magazine written by and for climbers. The magazine is published monthly.

Contributors to the magazine include John and Anne Arran; Julie-Ann Clyma, an IFMGA internationally qualified guide; Mark Glaister, a professional outdoors photographer and member of the Rockfax guidebook team since 1998; Bruce Goodlad, another IFMGA guide, with his own company based in Chamonix; Neil Gresham, a climbing coach; Libby Peter, a guide, instructor and writer; Dave Pickford, travel writer and photographer; and Mike Robertson, writer, photographer and DWS pioneer.

The magazine includes features from climbers around the world, detailing their adventures and advice. There is also advice about techinques, gadgets and the best gear for the hobby. It is a monthly publication, often including supplements such as 'The Alpine Climber', Neil Gresham's wall chart, and the popular 'Winter Skills' supplement.

The Climber website was relaunched in June 2007, and now includes many interactive features; a forum for climbers to chat about their latest adventure; a blog section; a gallery to upload climbing photos; and also many features and articles.

Climber magazine is published by Warners Group Publications plc of Bourne, Lincolnshire.
