Clifford Ross Powell

Clifford Ross Powell (July 26, 1893 – March 30, 1973) was an American Republican Party acting governor of New Jersey in 1935.
He was born in Lumberton, New Jersey on July 26, 1893. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Major General, and was Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly in 1925. He was a member of New Jersey Senate from Burlington County, New Jersey from 1928 to 1939. [1]
