[edit] ClevelandBill
ClevelandBill is the oft-used online name for William C. Ferry of Bay Village, Ohio. Yep, I don't live in Cleveland anymore. But I used to . . . both East and West sides.
I've lived in many places in and around Cleveland . . .
Fairview Park, Ohio
Cleveland Heights
Shaker Heights
West Park, Cleveland
Collinwood (South)
Bay Village
I grew up in Vermilion.
As of August 2007, I am a law student at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law of Cleveland State University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University.
I lived in Columbus, Ohio for seven years after high school. I lived in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York for one year after college.
I have eaten more than one lobster in a four hour period. (that was in Long Island) I slaughtered Bagels there, too.
I am married and have two children with my wife. I have one child from a previous event.
I have been: a newspaper boy, a camp staffer, a dockboy, a piano mover, a grill guy at a fast-food joint, a butcher's assistant, a mall Santa, a video store assistant manager, a real estate manager, a service technician in the graphics industry, a professional musician, a banker, a research assistant, a stock analyst, an economics development professional, a full-time stay-at-home dad, an entrepreneur, a political operative, etc.
I enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, woodworking and gardening. I have days where I truly get close to joining the Amish. I have days where I truly am a modern, wordly, connected geek. I don't know which I like best.
I am a libertarian. You are too, but you just don't know it yet. I believe the money is mine, not the government's. I believe what I do behind closed doors is my business, not my neighbor's.
The right way for Americans to behave is taught to them by about third grade . . .
The Little Red Hen on Free Enterprise.
"Sticks and Stones" on the 1st Amendment.
The Boy Who Cried Wolf on How Politicians Work.
The Golden Rule on How To Live Without Totalitarian Government
And others . . .
There is nothing special about America or Americans to explain our greatness . . . except . . . How our system UNLEASHES the innate talents and drives of EVERYBODY to achieve what THEY see as important.
Largely, this means getting God and Government and Neighbor and everybody OUT OF EVERYBODY ELSE'S BUSINESS.
Leave us alone.
Mind your own business.
And with that, I will retire for another restful night's sleep so that I can wake up and LIVE THE DREAM ALL OVER AGAIN.
Good night, and Good Luck!
