Old 'subsidiary' information moved from article page. The 'subsidiary' section needs to be tidied up. I intend to do it in the future, but for the moment I'll store this here for general reference Thoughtcriminal

This information was taken from the UK Companies Database in April 2005, and re-ordered to show the relationships between holding companies and subsidiaries more clearly. Each line shows, in the follwing order:

  • Full Company Name
  • Ownership status (Wholly Owned or Intermediary - Intermediary implies another party also owns shares in the company).
  • Level of ownership. Clear Channel UK is at ownership level 4 because it has 3 holding companies above it. Its subsidiaries are level 5, their subsidiaries are level 6, and so forth.
  • Company registration number.
  • Notes (e.g. Dormant indicates a company is not currently trading, but could resume trading in the future). Please feel free to add notes as to the subsidiary companies' business areas and activities.

Please note that the information given in the Companies Database is not fully up to date - companies normally have a time window in which to file documents, and even when filed, the documents may take some time to become available on the database. Most notably, the Mean Fiddler Music Group takeover is not yet shown on the Companies Database.

Indented companies are subsidiaries of the company above them. The better-known and more active subsidiaries are shown towards the top of the list.

Sorry - I wrote it, but must have previewed rather than "Save page". Main reason was the format: generally Wikipedia's own markup is preferred here to HTML tables (see Wikipedia:How to use tables). I also felt that the explanation of the tables was a bit unclear. Tearlach 18:29, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
