I am thinking the article should be about the town, rather than both town and former district, with "Clackmannanshire" becoming an article about the council area, the former district and the former county. This would make things a lot easier as regards deciding deciding how to link from other articles. The council area has the same boundaries as the former district, and the district had boundaries similar to those of the former county. Laurel Bush 12:24, 20 October 2006 (UTC).

Sorry. I have just re-read the article. Thinking now it that district-related content should be transferred to "Clackmannanshire", and "Clackmannan, Clackmannanshire" should be merged with "Clackmannan". Laurel Bush 12:27, 20 October 2006 (UTC).
