Claude Davey

Claude Davey (born 14 December 1908) was a Wales international rugby union player during the 1920-30s. He was awarded 23[1] caps for Wales and captained his country 8 times. Davey was a hard tackling centre and his most famous performance took place on 21 December 1935 when he led Wales to a historic 13-12 victory over the All Blacks at Cardiff.

He played for a number of clubs including the 'Mond' as a youth, a colliery team that would become Cwmgors RFC,[2] then during his international career Swansea RFC and Sale.

Davey notably once recorded 2 holes in one during the same round.
