Clash was launched at the beginning of 2004. Its tagline, 'Dedicated to Music and Fashion', neatly sums up the commitment to deliver the most honest and comprehensive coverage of all the modern sights and sounds that matter.
The ethos of Clash is simple: document the ongoing crossover of styles in a cohesive manner presented with loving care and no pretension. This has enabled Clash throughout its existence to cover a wide range of artists and genres from across the decades, with the most disparate characters often side-by-side.
The eternal search for the best new music sees Clash scouring the ends of the Earth for impressive breaking talent, the best of which appearing in the esteemed Ones To Watch section and accompanying covermount CD. But you can’t look forward without looking back, and for this reason the musical heroes and icons dating back to the 50s are also welcome for appraisal and acceptance within the pages of Clash.
Fashion in Clash is similarly unaffected nor dictated by the supposed cool. Affordable, street-smart and sexy, they mix the nicest threads with your favourite musicians and take lovely photos.
Clash events are many and bountiful. Read more about the latest Clash Club from the links below, as well as Clash affiliations and sponsorships at festivals and events around the world.
Past cover stars of Clash have included Franz Ferdinand, The Charlatans, The Streets, The Clash, Babyshambles, Beck, Doves, Gorillaz, The Coral, Ian Brown, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Dirty Pretty Things, Razorlight, Kasabian, The Kooks, LCD Soundsystem and Kings Of Leon.
The latest issue, with an exclusive interview with Arctic Monkeys for their new album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', is in shops now.
