[edit] 2006-07 Administration

Chris Vaughn has been at the school since 2003. After serving as an assistant football coach, US History teacher and assistant principal, he began leading Clarksville High School as principal in the Fall of 2006. Tonya Nelson is assistant principal and counselor for the campus, and James Barham serves as discipline coordinator.

[edit] Accountability Rating

Each year, the campus has fallen victim to lower and lower test scores on the state-mandated TAKS Test. Despite relentless efforts that have been and are currently being made to improve district-wide TAKS scores, the Clarksville High School campus rating dropped to Academically Unacceptable, the state's lowest possible rating, in the summer of 2006. The summer of 2007 brought news of an unacceptable rating for the second unprecedented year, bringing the threat of a full takeover or possible closure by the Texas Education Agency.

[edit] School Song

All hail Alma Mater

Thy queen of all the rest

In all our fond memories

Thy name we love the best

And as we walk the path of life

And sail the storm-tossed seas

Our beacon of light shall ever be

Our days at Clarksville High School

C*H*S!!!
