[edit] History
The Goldfield Community School District began whole grade sharing with the Clarion Community School District in 1981 and originally included just the high school. In 1986, the agreement was expanded to include the middle school as well. In 1993 the two districts merged to form the Clarion-Goldfield Community School District.[2]
In 2005, the Dows Community School District began whole grade sharing with Clarion-Goldfield. Dows maintains a K-5 elementary and sends students in grades 6-12 to Clarion. Combined, the two school districts serve 1,100 students in grades K-12.
