Claire Stansfield (born 27 August 1964 in London, England) is an actress, director, fashion designer and former model. Born in England but raised in Canada, Stansfield worked as a model in her youth before turning to acting. She studied in London before returning to Hollywood. She is probably best known for her recurring role as "Alti" in several episodes of the fantasy television series Xena: Warrior Princess. Other recurring roles include "Sid" in the cult TV series Twin Peaks and "Kristina" in the show Frasier.
Stansfield directed The Lovely Leave in 1999, based on the short story of the same name by Dorothy Parker.
Stansfield founded C&C California, a clothing line specializing in 70's-style T-shirts, in partnership with Cheyann Benedict in 2002.[1] C&C was acquired by Liz Claiborne in 2005.[2]
