• closed^† – if a closed railway station, enter yes (e.g. see Pinkenba railway station, Brisbane)
• station_name – basic name of the railway station (e.g. Brunswick Street)
• image^† – image of the railway station (e.g. Valley-Metro-Brunswick-Street.jpg)
• street – street address of the station (e.g. Brunswick Street)
• suburb – the suburb the station falls within, wiki-linked and piped for convenience (e.g. [[Fortitude Valley, Queensland|]])
• brisway^† – plain URL to Brisway map hosted by street-directory.com.au (e.g. http://www.street-directory.com.au/sd_new/genmap.cgi?x=153.0261&y=-27.4658&sizex=650&sizey=650&level=6&star=1)
• distance – distance from Central station as a plain number, limited to two decimal points (e.g. 1.33). If unknown, set this to "unknown".
• zone – TransLink zone as a plain number, or separated by a slash if overlapping (e.g. 1 or 9/10)
• access – describe briefly the way to access the station, wiki-linking places if available for convenience, piped if necessary (e.g. Main entrance via [[Valley Metro (Fortitude Valley)|]])

• coordinates – geographical co-ordinates of the station, use {{coord}} (e.g. {{coord|27|27|57|S|153|01|35|E|display=title}}) – remove inline from display= so it displays at the top-right-most of the article page (title) only, and move the whole remaining tag to the bottom of the page. Delete the coordinates element from the article.

[edit] Microformat

The HTML mark up produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the place-name and location parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue article across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Within the hCard is a Geo microformat, which additionally makes the coordinates (latitude & longitude) parsable, so that they can be, say, looked up on a map, or downloaded to a GPS unit.
