The City of Dunedin Pipe Band, from the Tampa Bay area of Florida, is a premier competitive Grade II pipe band registered with the Southern United States Pipe Band Asscociation. They are the only grade II pipe band in that association, and one of the few bands of that level in the entire southern region of the United States. The band frequently competes on the international level, and traveled to Scotland in 2005 where they placed 4th in the Bangor Highland Games (out of 6) and 12th in the British Championships (out of 16). The band organization also played a grade IV band in 2005 which placed 8th in the British Championships and was subsequently promoted to grade III.
