Citizen X (Video Game)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Citizen X was a scrapped game from Digital Pictures and was planned to be released for the Sega CD. There are many possible reasons why it was not released. One reason is that full motion video games were becoming less popular than Digital Pictures thought so it just would not sell very well. Other reasons are that there were too many bugs in the game that couldn't be worked out or they were afraid that with the difference in gameplay it would not sell like the past games.

[edit] Story

A terrorist group has planned to take over the world and has started to take over the city with a toxic gas. The player is scouted out by a government anti-terrorist unit to take them out because the player is the only one who hasn’t died yet. the player must trek through the sewers, find the gas antidote and defeat the terrorists in 15-minutes.

[edit] Gameplay

The game play is much different than other games from Digital Pictures in this game instead of being fully live action video the video scenes are used as small cut-scenes in between portions of the game. this game is mostly a side scrolling 2-D action/adventure game more than it is an FMV game
