A list of things that would shock me;
(most are from long ago and if any were to occur it would most definitely shock me)

Someone I used to be friends with long ago suddenly contacts me.

Someone I knew well in elementary school that I wasn't friends with loves Rocko's Modern Life and other old shows.

Someone I knew knows of Death metal and other extreme genres, listens to it or listened to it and respects it as equal.

A huge disaster in South Korea or Japan and a listing of the dead was someone I knew...

Someone that I haven't seen for 10 years or so suddenly visits my home.

If I found out that someone I knew long ago or moved long ago died in some accident/disaster/murder.

Someone I openly hated long ago likes many things I do now or are a completely different person and even could be forgiven to become friend-compatible.

A disaster like 9/11 occurs or some similar disaster in or around my hometown, country or the world really.
