CIGR-FM

CIGR-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Owned and operated by Groupe Génération Rock Inc., it broadcasts on 104.5 MHz using an omnidirectional antenna with an effective radiated power of 1,300 watts (class A).

The station has a classic rock format and identifies itself as Génération Rock / G-Rock 104,5. It went on the air on May 31, 2004.

On June 18, 2007, CIGR's owners announced a tentative deal to sell the station to Corus Entertainment. The transaction is still pending CRTC approval.

In december 2007, the CRTC approved the transaction to sell CIGR to Corus but at the condition that the station keeps his rock format.

In january 2008, Corus accepted the conditions of the CRTC and officially acquired CIGR from Groupe Génération Rock Inc.

The station will officially be owned by Corus on January 28th 2008.
