Cienna is an Australian red grape variety first bred in 2000. It is a mix between the Spanish Sumoll and Cabernet sauvignon grape.[1] This grape was initially created in 1972 by CSIRO. They aim was to produce high quality grapes suited for Australian conditions. Today Brown Brothers is producing and selling a wine made from this grape.
