[edit] notable?
Hi. Are You the CH listed under American poets? If so, are You really notable enough for a Wik entry? Frankly, sixteen seems a bit young to be a poet of note. To stay, I think it needs some support (and then an article, which some-one can write about You). Kdammers 06:39, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Is translating articles from the English Wikipedia straight to another language version allowed? Chuffable 10:52, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Not only allowed, but encouraged; see Wikipedia:Multilingual coordination -- plenty more users with the same intentions. Of course, I wouldn't recommend using only online tools like Babel Fish or Google Translate, but I presume you're referring to other languages in which you're reasonably fluent. --DeLarge 11:04, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

- Reasonably, yes. :) With the help of dictionaries... I made a stub into not-a-stub that way, and I was wondering if I ought to have alluded to the original version in some way, as a source verification thing. Thank you, I will continue translating! Wikipedia is so fun! Chuffable 11:06, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

- No, that job is done by the "interwiki link" to vo:Arie de Jong which you can see in the left-hand column under In other languages. Verifiable sources should be entirely independent of Wikipedia (see WP:SELF for why we discourage "self referencing"). Regards, --DeLarge 11:22, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LFN Wiki
Hi - I would actually take the opposite view of the situation that you wrote, that this is one of the reasons why LFN needs a Wikipedia because the community is focused on just writing articles and content, not technical issues like fixing wikis. There's only one person that has access to the wiki and I'm not sure what he's doing at the moment. I'll put your post up on the group again today to see if we can get them to hurry up a bit.
And...oh, I found a way around the problem. When logged in I get a different login screen and can make new passwords. Okay, I made one for you so I'll send you the password now by email. Mithridates 06:04, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Ah, you don't have email set up. Send me an email and I'll send you the password. Mithridates 06:05, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Hm? No response about the user account I've set up. I'll just write the password here then and you can change it after you log in. User name:Chuffable Password:somethingelse
If somebody else sees this and starts mucking about then I'll just block the user and create a new account. Mithridates 03:48, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
