[edit] High and Dry?
The "dry" in high and dry coming from the lack of consumption of alcohol? Uh? I thought it was dry, emotionless services, in contrast to the emotionalism of evangelicalism and Methodism. Anyone got a reference for that? Gerry Lynch 12:34, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
That stood out for me as well. I'm removing it as it both seems incorrect and lacks a citation. Anthropax 18:49, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Broad Church
My understanding of the "Broad Church" was less that it represents a middle ground between High and Low, than that it emphasizes common liturgical practices over contested liturgical details. In practice, this often means something in between High and Low Church, but it's arrived at by a different route. Is there a better way to word this in the article? —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 04:05, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
