[edit] National Prominence

I know WNBC is available on C-Band satellite, but before that time; I'm guessing the Digests were the way most outside of New York heard of Scarbourough.

  • Only in the Eastern, Central and (presumably) Mountain time zones; in the Pacific time zone, in the late 1970's and early '80's the News Updates/Capsules/Digests were handled on an alternating basis by KNBC/Los Angeles anchors John Schubeck and Tritia Toyota. So Angelenos weren't likely as familiar with Scarborough as the rest of the country in that respect. –Wbwn 05:45, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
