Churchland High School is a public high school located in Portsmouth, Virginia. It is administered by Portsmouth City Public Schools. The school colors are black, orange, and white, and the nickname is "The Truckers".

Churchland is designated as a magnet school for the Visual & Performing Arts. An exceptional group of teachers raise artistic and academic standards in dance, chorus, orchestra, band, drama, and the visual arts. Each discipline is award winning; students experience successful entry into post-high school studies, well rehearsed and well prepared.

Churchland High's layout is similar to some shopping malls. The schools has over 45 classrooms in its 2-level "Educational Wing." It is divided into 4 halls, "A & B" at level one and "C & D" at level two. The school has 3 green trianglular roofs (Library, Center Court, and Cafeteria) with skylights. Its Gymnasium seats over 4,000 and hosts basketball tournaments, and the PIT-Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, in which NBA stars have played in this gym.

Throuought the main hall of the school, orange banners are hanging from its ceiling and special black banners for the Auditorium, Library, Guidance, Office, Nurse, Cafeteria, and Gymnasium.

The school's cafeteria also has an outdoor courtyard that is used by seniors.

Their football stadium is named for "William Billy Strickland," who was a champion coach for Churchland in its past history.

Around the school's perimeter, there is a school bus depot with a gas station, teacher parking at the educational wing, and student parking at the front. There is only one road entry to the school, leading to backups every morning around 7:00 a.m.
