Churchill Park, named after Winston Churchill upon the park's creation in 1945, lies on the western side of the Auckland Isthmus towards the Tamaki River.

It retains its "farm-like" character despite several attempts by the Auckland City Council to develop (even subdivide) since the 1960s.
