Do we really need the word 'champion' before 'all rounder' ? Surely that is not objective! Novacatz 07:12, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

The article really is not sufficiently objective. I've added a short para with a link to a recent NZ Herald article to try and bring some balance. My own belief is that Cairns just never properly fulfilled his talent, with the exception of a couple of seasons around the turn of the century (leading the 1999 victory in England and being the one NZ player able to stand toe to toe with Steve Waugh's world record breaking Australian side). He was plauged by injury but I can't help noting the comparison with how well Pollock and Hadlee prolonged their careers, perhaps because they played most of the time just within themselves. I rather suspect Freddie Flintoff might burn out because of the punishment he always inflicts on his substantial frame. JRJW Feb '06

[edit] Chris(topher)?

We have "Christopher" in the article title and "Chris" in the infobox; shouldn't these be standardised, and if so what to? Loganberry (Talk) 01:33, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'm wondering why Christopher was chosen for the location, rather than Chris --Paul 05:34, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
