As a novice Wikipedia contributor, I noticed that Wiki has an article
for "Day by Day", but none for you.  So I started one.  (Hope you
approve.)  It's very sparse at the moment, but I intend to flesh it
out a little more in the next week or so.  And obviously, due to the
nature of Wikipedia, hopefully others will take notice and contribute
as well:

I would like to upload an image of you, and perhaps two or three
samples of your strip.  I understand you're pretty lenient about
reproductions of your strip; quoting from the 2003 interview on
Dean's World:

  In short, post 'em up, send 'em out, print them off as gifts.
  Just don't sell them. Otherwise, the bigger the audience, the
  more likely I can spend more time on this and speak out for
  that other half of America that's not represented in daily
  cartoon strips.

If that's still your policy, then you should have no problem agreeing
to terms of the "GNU Free Documentation License" used by Wiki,
which is essentially:

  We can only use your materials if you are willing to grant permission
  for this under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.
  This means that anyone will have the right to share and, where

Of course, I need the same kind of permission in order to upload
an image of you.  You might not feel the same way about such an

know, otherwise I'll have to hunt for one on the web.

David, it's very kind of you to do a Wiki entry, though I find the ol'
trolls tend to hijack them and add the usual nasties.

In any event, as DBD is rather more commercial now as I am selling to
newspapers, I really don't sign any external agreements. (like Wiki)

However, if you wish to use this pix, which appeared somewhere before
(I can't quite recall where), please go ahead.

Sorry to be less than helpful, and it is nice of you to do this.
I really do prefer to be as anonymous and unrelated to DBD as possible.

I get this a bit with an unusual Scottish surname,too.
