Christopher Duncan Hays

Christopher Duncan Hays (1800 – 1879) was master of the ship "Reliance". He is believed to invented the "twin screw" for ships.^{[citation needed]} He was married to Jane Blaxland (1810 – 1890), daughter of Sir Gregory Blaxland (1788 – 1853) on June 10th 1829.
