Christopher C. Cox (August 26, 1816 - November 25, 1882) was a United States politician from Maryland.
Born in Baltimore, Cox was a member of the National Union Party, a coalition of the Democrat loyal to the Union and Republicans during the Civil War.
He served as the first ever Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, after creation of this office. He hold this post from 1865 to 1868. This office was abolished in the same year. The next Lieutenant Governor, Blair Lee III, was elected after this post was reinstated in 1971.
Cox, an Episcopalian, died in Washington D.C..
