Dr. Christian Schoen (born 1970 in Marburg, Germany) is art historian and curator. He works on old masters as Albrecht Dürer or Auguste Rodin and on contemporary art and new media. From 2000-03 he was curating the exhibition space LOTHRINGER13 in Munich, Germany. Since 2001 he is head of the OSRAM ART PROJECTS. In 2005 he was appointed first director of the CIA.IS - Center for Icelandic Art in Reykjavík. He is commissioner of the Icelandic pavilion at the Venice Biennial 2007 and member of the advisory board and the acquisition committee of the Reykjavík Art Museum.
