Christ College, Brecon is a co-educational independent boarding and day school, located in the market town of Brecon, mid Wales.
Christ College was founded by Royal Charter in 1541 by King Henry VIII. The Chapel and Dining Hall, both in daily use, date from the 13th Century when the site was occupied by a Dominican order Priory.
It has a proud academic, sporting and cultural history, and in recent years internationals have been produced in rugby, cross-country, cricket, to name but a few. The school is regularly high in the league tables, and the sense of community at the school has been described as "remarkable". Also it has been ranked in the Top 3 for all UK Independent Schools in terms of "Value for Money" by the Financial Times.
