Chris Harford

Chris Harford is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. According to National Public Radio, Harford's music "has been described as 'beautiful, heart-rending and soulful,' as well as 'dark, rocking and dangerous'".[1] He performs with the Band of Changes, whose fluid lineup includes members of Ween and Particle.

In the early 1980's, Harford was a member of the band Three Colors which included saxophonist Dana Colley, who went on to be a member of the band Morphine.[2] In 1992, as Chris Harford and the First Rays of the New Rising Sun, he released Be Headed on Elektra Records.[3] Subsequently, he released several albums independently.

His latest release (October 2006) is titled Looking Out For Number 6, produced by Dean Ween. The album is available through Chocodog Records.[4]

He is also a high school lacrosse coach in Miami, FL
