[edit] Biography
[edit] Early life
Born and raised in sunny Florida as third out of four boys, Christopher Andrew Conrad excelled early at sports and comedy. During his sophomore year of high school, St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, a school where actors such as Scott C. Roe and Billy Crudup attended, he and his baby brother Mike won the Florida's Funniest Man, which gave them a chance to perform at the Improv in NYC.
Enrolled with Florida State University, where his two older brothers already studied. As an avid joker, Chris started working for the campus radio while exploring the college drama class. Discouraged by the seriousness of the class, Chris dropped out but was later persuaded by his former drama teacher to return to acting.
Continuing to Chicago, where where his older brother Steven Conrad was studying at the Northeastern, Chris crammed in a year of studies at the Piven Theatre Workshop. Following that, he signed with an agent and landed his first acting role in the television movie, Mario and the Mob.
[edit] Acting career
After Steven Conrad sold off his script "Wrestling Ernest Hemingway" to Hollywood, Chris followed him out to the west coast, where he settled down.
Married for a while back in 1999, and mostly known as the humorous and muscular Young Price Jason in Young Hercules, a FOX TV show, Chris returned to his native Florida to teach during a slope in his acting career, but returned to Hollywood and acting in 2006.
Nowadays, keeping busy as the BowFlex leading man as well as guest starring in shows such as Bones or Criminal Minds, he's back in acting for good. During 2008, his fans will be able to see him in both Portal and The Promotion.
