Chris Bambridge

Christopher ("Chris") Francis Bambridge (born October 7, 1947) is a retired Australian soccer referee, known for having refereed one match in the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico: Spain versus Brazil, in which he wrongly disallowed a Spanish goal by Míchel, in which after the ball hit the crossbar, it bounced behind the goal line and fell back out. He also officiated at the 1988 Summer Olympics.

He now works for the FFA, organizing Victorian referees.
