Chris Avenir
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chris Avenir is a student at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
Chris came to public attention March, 2008 as he faces 147 charges of cheating over his starting of a Facebook group, that, according to press reports, encouraged students to swap answers to Chemistry homework problems.[1][2]
On March 18, 2008, he has been given a disciplinary notice on his transcript for his conduct within the online group and will receive a zero on his 10 percent assignment. Ryerson's disciplinary hearing did not recommend expulsion[3][citation needed]
As part of the process, Chris Avenir has the opportunity to appeal the misconduct decision. The misconduct hearing was closed to the public at Avenir's request.
