The French Wikipedia article says that "Jean Chouan" did take his name from the chat-huant, also called chouette hulotte, and fr:Chouette_hulotte (which mentions chat-huant) says that's Strix aluco, the Tawny Owl. So I changed it. —JerryFriedman 17:02, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
