Chocolate crackles

Chocolate crackles are a popular children's snack in Australia especially during birthday parties and at school fetes. As the recipe is relatively easy requiring only shortening, icing sugar, cocoa, Rice Krispies (known as "Rice Bubbles" in Australia), coconut and the optional use of sultanas, it is often used as a craft activity for young children.
