[edit] Welcome
Hello, Chicagosds, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} and your question on your user talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! NeoFreak 16:56, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Iraq Project
Your page, Iraq Research Project is nominated for deletion and will no doubt be deleted shortly. You can find the deletion page here [1]. Usually I wouldn't do this but it seems that you have put alot of time and effor tinto its creation and you seem to be very motivated to contribut but do not yet understand the nature of our encyclopedia. I've left you a welcome template above where you can read into what wikipedia is all about and what is and is not appropriate for inclusion here. I think you might find special interest in Wikiprojects. Do not be afraid to hit me up on my talk page if you have any questions on how you can constuctivly contribute to wikipedia.
Also I have created a user subpage that has the entire article you created preserved. As long as you keep it in your userspace and only use it as a resource no one will bother you about it. You can find it by clicking on your username on the upper right hand corner of your screen and then clicking the link I have provided. NeoFreak 16:56, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
