The original 19th century (grade 2 listed) Chirk/Y Waun station building was demolished in 1987, without consultation , by the local council(?), to be replaced by a hideous concrete block shelter. Licornenoire 11:03, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

There was a very good 'Private Eye'(Piloti) comment on the matter back in late 1987...
