Chincha is an archaelogical culture, that used to habitate the coast of south central Peru zone that is known under this name. They lived as high culture wich traded within the pacific coast between Ecuador and Actual south Peru. After the arriving of the spanish conquerors they stopped it´s trade. Before they were of great importance in the Inca empire as deliverer of luxorius goods and also producers for the élite. At all, nothing to do with such rodentia species and high andes.
