[edit] Dead tree sculpture
everyone says the dead tree brings good luck to the chinese community. but i've heard it repeatedly said (by chinese ppl) that it being a dead tree, is actually bad luck. a dead tree covered in metal and dripping water is even worse... something about symbolising corruption and death and all that. --Sumple 12:02, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adding pictures?

[edit] Mismatched Chinese names?
"雪梨唐人街/悉尼華埠" - I thought that 悉尼 is the Mandarin-based PRC transliteration and 雪梨 is the Cantonese-based traditional transliteration, while 唐人街 is the Mandarin term while 華埠 is the Cantonese term; so shouldn't it be 悉尼唐人街/雪梨華埠 ? --Sumple (Talk) 06:00, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Australia's largest
The article says it is Australia's largest Chinatown. Is it the Southern Hemisphere's largest too? If so, I think it should be mentioned.--Jeff79 21:40, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
