Talk:Chimera (web browser)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is my first Wikipedia page. I've attempted to fill it with useful information, and will appreciate others' efforts in doing the same.

First, a couple of points that I'm noodling:

  • Is it a bad idea to dump compile instructions right on a wiki page like that? Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'll figure out somewhere else to put them.
  • Because of the contents of the screenshot, I may as well be running Chimera on LFS or Debian or Slackware for all the evidence that it really is (and it really is!) ArchLinux that that shot was taken on... so what should I include in any updated screenshots? Me running a full GNOME desktop? uname -a? Maybe today's date?
  • I don't cite any sources, mainly because I know of none.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

The answers to these questions
  1. I've added the howto template to it. In other words, yes it is bad.
  2. I don't think think 'proof of distro' is really required for the images. I would recommend xsetroot or simmilar is used to set the background to solid black. Those grids show up as odd moiré patter on CRT monitors.
  3. I dont have an answer for this one.
