We really need to consolidate Bnai Israel, Bnai Yisrael (there should be a redirect), Bani Israel and Children of Israel.

I removed the following text:

The rebirth of the Jewish state in Israel with the simultaneous in-gathering of many Jews from the Diaspora presents a major counter-argument to the view that the Jews have lost their title as the Children of Israel.

Even though I am not really an outsider on the whole thing I still could not see how this relates to anything before it. Why is it a counter-argument? What argument is it countering? How? Gadykozma 00:21, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)

The Christian part ought to be included because it is a justifiable identification of who the Children of Israel are. If it were excluded, we would need a disambiguation page reading Children of Israel (ethnicity) and Children of Israel (spiritual). This would then problematize the whole enterprise further, since there are undoubtedly many people who would disagree with the division of Children of Israel into categories or kinds. In essence, the 'ownership' of the phrase is in dispute, and THAT'S why we have to be inclusive rather than exclusive. 99.243.118.201 (talk) 19:07, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Jonathan

Yesterday I suggested on Talk:Israelite that this page (Children of Israel) would become the center for the discussion "who are the real children of Isreal today" (moving parts of Israelite here). Bnai Israel can then be trimmed slightly and made a center for uses of the Hebrew phrase. What do you say? Gadykozma 15:51, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Islamic misconceptions

Why do so many moslems & even some Arabic head-of-states keep insisting on the basis that: the reference is wrongfully made to the hebrons, when they should be actually made to them instead. Asserting that Islam's prophet Muhd had persistently emphasized that, Moses was a prophet of Islam & never Judaism. Yeah. For sure, Muhammad... I unconditionally "believe" you. That's why I'm a practicing Sikh btw :). But what I really want to know is, where do these guys try and fit themselves in, to say... exploit the truth? Additionally, how has the Jewish people refuted this claim alongst the generally-fraudulent Islamic community?
