Chitaura Jheel is a Hindu pilgrimage site, centred around a pond in Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The site is believed to be the place where the fight between King Suhel Deo and Salar Masood took place. A temple is also situated here, as well as a statue of King Suhel Deo. It is also locally believed by the Hindus that this pond was a part of the sun temple of Surya Ashram which was destroyed in one of the Muslim invasions.
