Chirirbandar is located at 25.6625° N 88.7833° E . It has 42790 units of house hold and total area 308.68 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Chirirbandar has a population of 232409. Males constitute are 51.43% of the population, and females 48.57%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 114095. Chirirbandar has an average literacy rate of 28.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
