Chinese Bible Church of Springfield

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chinese Bible Church of Springfield (CBCS) is a non-denominational Christian church located in Springfield, Illinois. It was established 21 years ago, and it has a congregation comprising immigrants from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. The church offers Sunday Mandarin services and live English translation as well.

Completed in 1997, the building was designed by an architect member of CBCS, C.T. Yang.[1] The majority of the building was constructed by six main church members and their families. From children to women and grandparents, a wide range of volunteers helped construct the building, with outside contractors being hired only for drywall, plumbing, and electricity. The church body constructed the building - literally with their own hands.

On April 7, 2007 at 3:30 PM, the church celebrated it's 10th Year Anniversary (Building) Dedication.
