China Gate (1998 film)

China Gate is a 1998 Hindi film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. It contains the song Chamma Chamma, featuring Urmila Matondkar, which was subsequently used in the musical Moulin Rouge!. It is a film about a group of soldiers leaving the battlefield due to fear of war. For act of cowardice and not showing their duty to give their life for the nation orders for their court martial are given. Years later when the group divides on their own ways. The daughter of a forest officer comes to their leader to ask for help to fight off the Jagira - local dhaku of the village. The story is inspired by the movie The Seven Samurai directed by Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa is mentioned in the beginning of the movie.
